The Textile Conservation and Restoration Studio

The Textile Conservation and Restoration Studio, established in 1986 by Nancy Boomhower, Textile Conservator, provides services such as the conservation, preservation, restoration and cleaning of all types of textiles. The Studio has worked on many types of historical and important textiles including apparel, tapestries, oriental carpets and other mixed media artifacts. The Studio has a diversified and nationwide clientele including museums, historical societies, government institutions, auction houses, insurance companies and fire restoration establishments. Our Studios have an impeccable customer satisfaction record which is the result of an expert knowledge of all types of fabrics and textiles, with their constructions and attributes. Assessments, consultations, disaster recovery, and surveys are also provided by The Studio.
